Visitor Information and Privacy Statement
Privacy
Playworld Systems believes the internet is a great place for gathering information, exploring your creativity, discovering unique ideas and, most of all, a place to learn and have fun. We are committed to presenting a safe, fun and informative web site for everyone.
We believe strongly in protecting the privacy of our visitors. This page outlines what we are doing to help you feel safe while using our informative and fun web site.
Personal Information Gathering
Playworld Systems does not gather any personal information from our visitors. The only time that we collect your email address is when you voluntarily provide it to us. We do not sell or distribute your information! We do forward your information request to your local Playworld Systems Representative so that we many better serve all of your needs and requests.
Many people today are very concerned about receiving cookies. Internet Cookie Technology is a mechanism which allows server side connections (such as CGI scripts) to both store and retrieve information from the client side of the connection.
We DO NOT USE cookie technology on our site! Not even on our catalog request form! Our servers do log some information when you access our site, but that information can not lead us, or anyone else, back to you.
We do gather generic user profiles, like geographical regions accessing our site, information about what browser (like Netscape, Explorer, AOL) you are using, your internet provider’s name (like “aol.com”, “pacbell.net”. Again, we do not gather any personal information about you or your computer system’s configuration.
From our server’s logs, we track information like the number of people visiting our site each day, which pages are the most requested and which are the least requested. This information helps us to improve our web site, making it more enjoyable every time you visit with us.
RSACi Rating
Our dedication to children’s safety goes beyond the playground. That’s why we registered our site with the Recreational Software Advisory Council, and we enjoy RSACi’s most family friendly rating.
The Recreational Software Advisory Council is an independent, non-profit organization based in Washington, D.C., that empowers the public, especially parents, to make informed decisions about electronic media by means of an open and objective content advisory system. The RSACi systems provide consumers with information about the level of sex, nudity, violence, offensive language (vulgar or hate-motivated) in software games and web sites. To date, RSACi has been integrated into Microsoft’s browser, Internet Explorer, and MicroSystem’s Cyber Patrol Software. CompuServe (US and Europe) has also committed to rate all its content with the RSACi system.
Playworld Systems urges parents and educators, to SET THE LEVELS on the growing number of products and browsers that support the RSACi system. To date these are: Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0 or later, CyberPatrol, and SurfWatch.
To access the Content Advisor for Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, go to the Tool Menu, and select the Internet Options. Click on the Content Tab, and then click on Enable within the Content Advisor Box. Follow the dialog boxes instructions to set the levels of restrictions. To apply the new restrictions, you will then be prompted for a password. This password will be used to lock the settings – you must have this password to be able to turn ratings on or off, and to set the levels of restriction.
Playworld Systems suggests setting your Content Rating to a Level 0.
With these privacy and safety protections in place, we truly hope that your internet surfing can be enjoyable, fun and, most of all, informative.
Happy Surfing!
